Vinyl Label Production Designer

Full Time Work hours 8:00am- 4:30pm, Monday- Friday

Position Summary:
Working in a light industrial manufacturing setting, a Vinyl Label Production Designer is responsible for designing and producing vinyl labels/products on Gerber vinyl printing and cutting machines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
• Proof read product before print
• Designs industrial labels by reading CAD/ specification prints
• Uses Gerber Omega software
• Prints vinyl labels using Gerber Edge FX printer
• Operates vinyl cutter to cut out industrial labels
• Is able to work directly with customers to create custom projects
• Operates a laminator and adhesive machine to produce labels
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• Must be able to work in a light manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to work independently and in a small team.
• General computer knowledge required.
• Basic math and measuring skills required.
• Basic knowledge of engineering prints required.
• Proficient spoken and written English required.
• Communication skills are required to clarify job orders and specifics of the custom jobs.
• Must have excellent time management skills.
• The Designer is frequently assigned to changing priorities and must be able to multi-task.
• Must be meticulous, punctual, and reliable.

Education/Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior position in the Graphics Industry preferred

Work Environment:
• Low decibel noise level
• No travel required
• Work hours 8:00am- 4:30pm, Monday- Friday
• Overtime may be required
