Full Time Quality Tech/ PPAP Coordinator

Position Summary:

Working in an office setting and occasionally a light industrial environment, the Quality Technician is responsible for creating Quality Control Documents (PPAPS) and certificates while assisting in other Quality Control related activities as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:    

  • Maintain conformance certificate database from suppliers.
  • Perform inspection of production parts for conformance.
  • Take part in scheduling of PPAP required submissions for on-time delivery of parts.
  • Insure measurement devices are properly calibrated.
  • Enter, submit, maintain PPAP’s for applicable items.
  • Help perform capability studies, gauge R&R, SPC, flow charts, and histograms.
  • Make recommendations based on inspections to remove root causes of non-conformance.
  • Keeping tidy and organized work stations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications:

  • High level of initiative and ability to work independently on multiple projects.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and approach to job and group responsibilities.
  • Must be detail oriented, able to prioritize tasks and able to work under pressure with multiple deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator a
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite a must.
  • Must be able to perform basic measurements.
  • Must be able to work in a light manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to work at a computer work station for extended periods of time.
  • Must have prior knowledge of writing manufacturing PPAPs.

    Education/Experience:
      
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in a related field of Quality Control.
  • Experience in a manufacturing/production field preferred.

    Work Environment:
     
  • Low decibel noise level
  • No travel required
  • Work hours 8:00am- 4:30pm, Monday- Friday.
  • Must be respectful and mindful of other employees
